THE LORD CONTINUES HIS WORK AND MINISTRY!

Say Hello to St. Mark’s New Director of Children and Family Ministry

Kirsten Suhr

Kirsten Suhr is a long-time member of St. Mark and has served our Lord and His Church through a distinguished career as a Lutheran Christian Educator.  With a Master’s degree in Early Education, as well as a teaching career marked with and awarded for exceptional accomplishment, Kirsten is uniquely equipped to connect with parents, families and their children for the sake of connecting them to Jesus and ensuring our ministry here at St. Mark keeps them rooted and growing in their faith in dynamic and exciting ways.  Once she wraps up her final school semester this Spring, Kirsten will begin her transition to full time ministry here at St. Mark beginning June 1, 2020.  I am thankful for how the Lord continues to equip His Church and people as we faithfully carry out His Great Commission, and I look forward to the great things I know will come from Kirsten’s dedicated effort to our children and families.

YES, YOUR CHURCH STILL NEEDS YOU!

I pray you are being encouraged and edified by how hard our staff and countless volunteers are working to keep our mission and ministry alive here at St. Mark even in these most difficult and strange times.  Please remember that our ability to minister to you from a distance and through technology is an investment we have made, and that needs to be maintained.  If you are unable to deliver your regular tithes and offerings to the church in person, please take the time and small effort to safely and securely remain faithful to Your Lord and His church by giving online.

Setting Up Your Online Giving is Easy!

Operation Christmas Child Update

In the month of April – New Stuffed Animals. Also, while we are stuck in our homes, a great activity is creating jump-ropes from cutting up old t-shirts – so please if you have any older t-shirts to donate you can still bring them to the church. Please give me a call so we know they are there to be picked up. (Rhonda 402-659-8764)

Thank-you,

Rhonda Zebolsky and Helen Oldenkamp

Band of Brothers is on hold till further notice. One of our recent studies was titled “Man Up” by Rev. Jeff Hemmer. The key takeaway was that a real Godly man is a sacrificial man. For his family, friends and community. While we are on hold guys, let’s look for ways to be sacrificial in our manhood!

Will this be an Easter like no other? NO! The tomb is empty!!

If you are not receiving Band of Brothers email updates and would like to, please let Jack Swanda know by emailing him at jswanda@cox.net. Keep checking your email for virtual Band of Brothers’ links.

Verse of the Week: The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven. (NIV)  Hebrews 1:3

Quote of the Week:
If you chew your food but don’t swallow, you will starve. The same applies to God’s word. If you read it but don’t apply it, you will starve spiritually. Danny Gokey

Fun Fact of the Week: It can take up to 20 minutes for your brain to realize that your stomach is full.
